About Us

Welcome to TimeTravel-Britain.com! Founded in 2005, this site seeks to bring a tantalizing selection of articles highlighting the best historic travel destinations in Great Britain.

At present, our articles focus on travel within England. We're hoping to put together an "all-Wales" issue later in 2007, followed by an issue on Scotland. Our next new issue, focusing on Salisbury and Wiltshire, will go online in April 2007.

Meanwhile, we offer two ways for you to enjoy our site. One way is to look for articles by region, using our master article index. Another is to search for a specific type of destination (such as castles, cathedrals, manors, etc.) using the menu bar at the top of the page.

TimeTravel-Britain.com is edited by Moira Allen, an American author who is about to achieve her lifelong dream of living in Britain (we're moving in April). Its writers come from around the world, but all share a love of British history and travel. (Find out more about our staff.)

We are currently closed to submissions. However, if you are interested in contributing to the site in the future, you can send us an e-mail to be put on our list of potential writers. We will notify you if and when we reopen to submissions.
